Haskins Takes 4th at Hy-Vee World Cup
Sarah Haskins overcame 90-degree heat and 54% humidity to take 4th place at the Hy-Vee ITU World Cup this weekend in Des Moines, IA. Of the entire field of 42 elite women that began the race, only 26 would complete the race, due to the extreme conditions. The win pushes Haskins to 3rd place in the ITU World Cup rankings.
Joanna Zeiger put in impressive performances in both the swim and the bike stages of the race, staying with the lead pack until the run where she was forced to withdraw due to extreme dehydration.
