Jamie Anderson was in New York a few weeks ago, and ESPN had the chance to link up with her in Times Sqaure at the Billabong store. After checking out her new outerwear line dropping the season, we kicked it around the hood and eventually ended up at the most giant Toys “R” Us store known to man. From a ferris wheel ride (yes, it’s inside the store) to riding BMX bikes down halls of dolls and stuffed animals (we were shut down by store security before we could get anything done on camera), to souvenir shopping at a nearby, no doubt overpriced tourist trap—between all this—we did manage to have some conversation. Olympics dreams, big sponsor changes—you know, normal stuff you talk about with a 19 year old, right? Since this interview, Anderson has been killing it Down Under: first in slope at the New Zealand Open, first at the Billabong Bro Down, and second in slopestyle at the NZ Winter Games. Watch out, 2010.
