FRESH FITNESS TIPS
At SELF, we love female athletes who use their sporty superpowers to do good. That’s why we were psyched to check out the new 26-minute ski film, Say My Name, starring superstar skiier Grete Eliassen, available on iTunes today.
Why do we dig Grete? Not only does the 23-year-old rip it up on the slopes–she’s got a pair of gold medals from the X-games under her belt, among a host of other accolades–she’s SELFy, too: When she won $25,000 at a 2007 competition, she donated her entire winnings to some of her favorite charities, including the Women’s Sports Foundation and Stand Strong Again, a charity that benefits athletes who have suffered spinal cord injuries. How cool is that?
Gearing up for some winter sports? (Winter’s coming, face it!) Download Grete’s new movie for some big-mountain inspiration, breathtaking sights and infectious girl power. Go Grete!
