JackedPack.com Reviews the Pro Series

At first you might casually say, “Did Promax make just another common protein bar?” well, taking a note from Marshall from How I Met Your Mother, let me describe this bar to you…

Just a protein bar? No, it’s so much more than “just a common protein bar.” I mean… that first bite- oh, what heaven that first bite is. The chocolate drizzel, like the chocolate swirled breast of an angel, resting gently on the dense, yet crispy bar below, flavors mingling in a seductive pas de deux. And then… the meat of the bar! The most muscular, chocolatey bar! A bar of protein so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. This is no mere bar of chocolate and protein…this is God, speaking to us in food.

Pros

  • Flavor

The two available flavors, Triple Chocolate Crisp and Peanut Butter Crisp, are a tag-team of awesome ready for consumption. While most protein bars must be chased with milk or water to remove the chalky, dry, medicinal flavor, the Pro Series bars are seriously tasty. Often times I find myself sad when I finish a bar, because I would love to have just one more bite.

  • Size

These puppies are a great size. They fill you up, but are not too heavy. They are great for a small meal, quick breakfast, or a guilt-free snack.

  • Ingredients:

Promax has done a truly wonderful job with these bars. They are made with high quality protein (whey isolates and casein). The bars are low in sugar (less than 15g) and sweetened with stevia, a natural herbal sweetener rather than a ton of sugar. They are also high in fiber (10g), which means you’ll be more regular than Jamie Lee Curtis after filming an Activia commercial.

Cons

The cons are that I’ve wasted the last 15 minutes racking my brain and my roommate’s brain for a con and can’t come up with anything. I just hope they develop even more delicious Promax flavors to tryout in the future.
