Grete Eliassen Chooses WEND Wax as Her One for the Road

Eliassen, whose career highlights include 3rd Place World Ski Championships Slopestyle and 3rd Place Winter X Games 15 – Slopestyle, is known for her versatility and smooth style. Now that Slopestyle skiing is making its Olympic debut in Sochi 2014 her sights are set on qualifying for the team. She joins the WEND Elite Team of Daron Rahlves, Lindsey Jacobellis, Kazu Kokubo, Simon Dumont, Heather McPhie, Nick Goepper, John Teller, Anais Caradeux and Travis Gerrits.

With a mother from the Midwest and a father from Norway, Eliassen grew up speaking both English and Norwegian. At the age of two she found the excitement of her life in skiing, and once she took to freeskiing she never looked back. Since her debut, Eliassen has won the U.S. Open four times as well as captured two gold, two silver and two bronze medals at the Winter X Games. She is the only female skier to have medaled in both the first halfpipe and slopestyle X Games events. Grete has her eyes set on the 2014 Olympic Games where Freeskiing Slopestyle will make its Olympic debut.
