Maude Raymond

Professional Freestyle Skier

Maude Raymond is one of the most prominent freeskiers in the world. She is an all-around threat on a slopestyle course. Her wide range of air tricks and ability to tear it up on a rail make her a force to be reckoned with. The French Canadian skier is known for her focus, determination, ability and style. Maude’s style is natural, effortless and smooth – a unique trait that sets her apart from other competitors. Maude began ski racing at the age of 5, but her real passion – which started at age 7 – was diving. She competed at an elite level for 11 years. Her confidence on skis can be attributed to the skills she learned as a diver.

At the age of 19, Maude took a trip to Whistler to visit her brother, Frank, who was a freestyle skier. He introduced her to the sport, and Maude’s life was changed forever. Maude is no stranger to injuries. She suffered her fourth ACL injury in May 2013, and not even that could make her give up on her dreams. She works hard and doesn’t quit because she truly loves what she does. Maude knows the ins and outs of rehab and knows what it takes to achieve her goals. When Maude hurt her shoulder in 2013 and wasn’t able to compete, she turned to making edits to keep herself busy. These edits turned into a webisode series call Maad Maude. Maad Maude is devoted to celebrating life, doing what you love and living in the present.
