DATES AND ATHLETES ANNOUCED FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL COVERGIRL SNOW ANGELS INVITATIONAL, APRIL 3 – 5, 2009
Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., December 8, 2008 – The second annual CoverGirl Snow Angels Invitational, hosted by Aspen/Snowmass, will once again be held in Snowmass, April 3 – 5, 2009.
Confirmed riders for this season’s event include: Gretchen Bleiler, Hannah Teter, Kelly Clark, Elena Hight, Torah Bright, Clair Bidez, Paulina Ligocka, Sarah Conrad, Meg Pugh, Ellery Hollingsworth, Mercedes Nicoll, Dominique Valle and Soko Yamaoka.
The event will feature a Superpipe contest, photo and filming opportunities for the media as well as lifestyle activities for the riders such as a spa day, yoga classes and a girl’s night out on the town.
“Last year’s Cover Girl Snow Angels Invitational was everything I had dreamed it would be,” says Gretchen Bleiler. “It was the perfect combination of progressive snowboarding in the best possible conditions with relaxation, and well being…an all around fun time. I can’t wait for this year’s event.”
The CoverGirl Snow Angels Invitational is the bookend event for a season of over 30 Aspen/Snowmass sponsored events. This is the only women’s specific snowboard competition and lifestyle weekend of the sort in the industry, bringing together the media, fans, sponsors and the athletes alike to Aspen/Snowmass.
