CLAIRE BEVILACQUA SPEAKS TO OVER 300 GIRLS AT LEADING PRIVATE GIRLS COLLEGE IN PERTH, AUS
Professional surfer, Claire Bevilacqua was the guest speaker to the graduating class of 2009 at the leading private girls college, MLC, in Perth, AUS. Claire was asked to speak about women’s sports, health, reaching goals and following dreams.
“Without hesitation i accepted the role and responsibility, for the fun/pleasure it gives me, and as an act of philanthropy.
After i was introduced and caught their attention i played one of my mini movies so they had some action stimulation.
I spoke freely about my past, present and future, what my passions were and related to them with the difficulties of high school pressure to all the opportunities and options out there in this tempting world.
I prepared no speech, spoke calmly, fluently, entertained with real humor, honestly answering questions and delivered the students everything i could to stoke them out in that 40 minute period.
They had printed a bunch of pictures off the internet and after my talk i signed these all for them.
On departure from the school I was personally thanked by the teachers and Principle. This is one of many times in 2009 and over the last few years i have donated my time to schools to promote a healthy lifestyle to the youth of my state.”
