St. Louisan Sarah Haskins off to fast start in triathlon season
Sarah Haskins has wasted little time stamping her authority on the early part of the pro triathlon season. She won the first two events she enetered this year, the first in Clermont, Fla., the second the prestigious Miami International Triathlon two weeks ago.
Haskins, a graduate of Parkway South and 2008 Olympian, will appear on the cover of the next issue of Triathlete Magazine. Her early success was built off a strong finish to 2009, when she was the top-ranked U.S. woman in the professional ranks.
A tip of the cap to fellow St. Louisan Jillian Petersen, who finished second to Haskins in Miami.
