Bleiler Signs With K2 Through 2014
K2 Snowboarding has extended its partnership with Gretchen Bleiler through 2014. Bleiler, X Games champion and Olympic medalist, has been a part of the K2 women’s snowboarding team for more than eight years, helping collaborate with brand’s product development, such as her K2 EcoPop snowboard, Contour boots, and Agogo bindings. According to the press release:
“It feels really good to have just re-signed with K2 for another three
years,” said Gretchen Bleiler. “K2 has become my Northwest family and throughout the years we’ve accomplished a lot together from Olympic and X Games medals to magazine covers, cool new cutting edge technologies and super fun graphics. I always feel so grateful for K2′s support and am really looking forward to the next three years, I have a feeling they’re going to be epic!”
“I can’t express my excitement enough to be working with Gretchen for another three years,” said Peter Mullenbach, K2 Snowboarding International Team Manager. “Aside from being an amazing snowboarder, Gretchen is a great person who has helped shape all aspects of women’s snowboarding while sustaining a proper style and personality for women and girls around the world to admire. She is passionate, competitive and dedicated; we are truly looking forward to the next three years with one of snowboarding’s great gems.”
Fresh off the training grounds of New Zealand, Gretchen is busy preparing for a full season of competition including the US Grand Prix, Dew Tour and X Games among others. Additionally, K2 engineers will continue seeking product feedback from Gretchen with the idea of creating the most advanced and effective women’s snowboard products on the market. Keep your eyes on Gretchen, she’s just getting started.
