Jamie Anderson : Full Moon

One of the most decorated snowboarders in the world, Jamie is a force to be reckoned with. She won the gold medal in slopestyle at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and has 13 X Games medals, one from each of her Winter X Games appearances. She is the winningest athlete in X Games slopestyle history. Jamie wins by stomping her tricks with authority and style, but it’s what she does off the snow that shows her true spirit. This tree hugging, yoga loving, moon cycle observing, go-green goddess considers snowboarding a soul sport.

Through the Jamie Anderson Foundation, she sponsors young snowboarders with Sierra-at-Tahoe. She has also taken home four ESPY awards, two of which were awarded in 2014 for Best Female Action Sports Athlete and Best Female U.S. Olympian. Although Jamie is a veteran on the contest circuit, she’s a rookie in the backcountry. The Full Moon crew has taken her under their wing so that she can translate her slopestyle prowess to the backcountry.

Jamie on filming with Full Moon:

I feel so blessed to film with the Full Moon Film crew. I haven’t spent a ton of time in the backcountry, but I love to ride natural terrain! I’ve always looked up to Victoria Jealous for her free-flowing, effortless steez and shredding big lines. I’m excited to go AK for the first time and ride some big mountains this season.

“Jamie has continually impressed me over the last decade, and now she is inspiring me along with a whole generation of shredders with her smooth, steely style and the lighthearted energy she brings to all she does.” – Hana Beaman
