Blue Light May Be Disrupting Your Sleep Cycles: Here’s What to Do About It

It feels like we’re constantly staring at some sort of screen. From watching TV, emailing on a computer, and checking our social media feeds on our smartphones, our eyes are constantly glued to a screen. However, all that screen time may be negatively affecting our sleep. According to S&Co client Max Lugavere, the blue light emitted from those screens can confuse our body. He says blue light “helps to regulate our circadian rhythms and dysfunction (or being exposed to blue light when we’re not supposed to be), can cause bodily disease like weight gain in studies with animal models.” The article suggests limiting your screen time after dinner to promote a better nights sleep.
