Happy December!
With a very busy November, frequent travel plans and heading into the holidays, we’re all doing our best to stay healthy and it’s not easy!
People have always made fun of me for all of my notions and potions. And the number of supplements I travel with (more than most, I admit!) With the exception of the one cold I happen to be getting over at this very moment (which came on after I decided to write this post ironically), I haven’t been sick all year. So something is working!
Here’s my go-to list of health hacks and the products that I can’t live without:
– An apple a day: this is legit! Fuji apples daily. Thank goodness they’re back in season
– Essential oils: these are great for EVERYTHING. I use the doTerra OnGuard regularly (on my feet before bed to fight off germs) and love the OnGuard lozenges (great to take daily); I also use doTerra peppermint for everything – muscle soreness (apply right on my sore neck or shoulders), headaches (great on the temples or again, on the neck since often my neck tension – could be a result of stress – contributes to the headache)
– Minerals: QuintEssential raw, unheated ocean minerals are a daily staple
– Probiotics: no new news here; I use Dr. Ohhira organic probiotics; shelf-stable (no refrigeration required); I’ve been told it’s good to switch up probiotics so your system doesn’t get too used to any one kind; haven’t done that because I love this product (but probably should!)
– Propolis: Beekeeper’s Naturals propolis spray is a winner – I travel with it and use it at home before bed and in the morning; it also is on my desk at the office; great to use consistently
– Chinese herbs: I’m obsessed with Dragon Herbs; among others, I swear by the Shaolin Inner Power eeTee (every morning) and Qi Drops (great in the morning too or before a workout); this company is really something else – I can feel a change in my energy since I started consistently taking herbs daily about six months ago (and they are also our newest client – YAY!)
– Curcumin: as active as I am, there’s always some inflammation somewhere; using CuraMed daily helps reduce this and again, has made a huge difference for me
– Digestive enzymes: Digest Gold with ATP is one of the best products I’ve learned of in recent years; truly changes how we feel after a meal by assisting our system (in a natural way) with digestion; more energy for other things when you’re giving your digestive system a rest!
– Daily supplements: my incredible doctor, Dr. Habib Sadeghi, has me on a rigorous supplement protocol, tailored to my specific health needs – I have bloodwork done every six months to see how things are progressing and my supplement protocol from  Be Hive of Healing is modified accordingly
– When I’m getting sick (god forbid): straight to Wellness Formula; game changer; I use the liquid now because someone told me it’s more effective (and assimilates more quickly which makes sense)
– Magnesium: I take it every night right before bed; great for digestion and relaxation – Natural Calm which also comes in handy travel packs; can’t live without this
– Before bed: in addition to my magnesium, I have tea before bed (herbal, of course) with a spoonful of Beeker’s Naturals B-Chill (honey with CBD); delicious and also gives me a restful and relaxing lead-in to my sleep and sometimes some interesting dreams
I highly recommend these – naturally, we all need a program tailored to our own, individual needs – many of these are universally great so if you’re curious, learn more!
