International Women’s Day: Our Favorite Feminine Qualities

Since opening its doors, Stanton & Company has always had a passion for promoting and building positive female role models and messaging for women. Our founder and CEO Amy Stanton released her first book last November, The Feminine Revolution, encouraging women (and men) to reclaim feminine traits once disparaged as weak – like sensitivity, emotionality, even crying openly – as powerful strengths. For International Women’s Day on March 8, the S&Co team reflects on their favorite feminine qualities from Amy’s book.

Nicole Callas: Chapter 4 – “Be Chatty.” I’ve always seen chattiness as a great trait women have mastered. It’s such an important way for us to connect! Chattiness is a great tool for social storytelling, a way to express our ideas, opinions and connect with people.

Jessica Hofmann: Chapter 8 – “Flirt Freely.” I’ve always had a flirtatious personality and love that the fabulous Amy Stanton encourages us to embrace that!

Mikaela Hong: Chapter 9 – “Be a Dreamer.” I think it’s so important to dream big and set goals for oneself because that is the only way to evolve. Put simply, the world would be a boring place without dreamers in it.

Olivia Levis: Chapter 5 – “Own Your Intuition.”

Lauren Nelson: Chapter 21 – “Love Fully.”

Lauren Newhouse: Chapter 5 – “Own Your Intuition.” I always honor, own and trust my intuition – no matter what other people say. It’s the ultimate acting of trusting oneself!

Denege Prudhomme: Chapter 5 – “Own Your Intuition.” I’ve been told my whole life that I have a good read on people and the times I’ve chosen to distrust my intuition, turns out – I was wrong and my intuition was right all along. I feel as women, we should embrace these qualities and use them for good.
