Olympic water polo player, Maddie Musselman shed light on her experience inside the Olympic Village, excitedly recounting her encounter with her olympic idol. “I met Michael Phelps in the elevator in Rio. I obviously knew who he was, but he didn’t know me. He was asking me about water polo and wishing me good luck. It feels like everyone’s on the same playing field and the respect is there,” Maddie recalls.
