Sports Illustrated Predicts Six USA Wrestling Olympic medals, with Golds to Burroughs & Gray

Sports Illustrated, in its special Rio 2016 Olympic Preview double issue, has predicted in its medal picks that the United States will win six wrestling medals at the Olympic Games in August.
The magazine, dated July 25 – August 1, was received in homes late this week.
Sports Illustrated predicted that 2012 Olympic champion and three-time World champion Jordan Burroughs will win the gold medal at 74 kg/163 lbs. in men’s freestyle wrestling, with three-time World champion Adeline Gray claiming the gold medal at 75 kg/165 lbs. in women’s freestyle wrestling.
The magazine predicted three medals for the U.S. women’s freestyle team, with Gray getting her gold, Helen Maroulis winning a silver at 53 kg/116.5 lbs. and Elena Pirozhkova taking a bronze at 63 kg/138.75 lbs.
The men’s freestyle team is predicted to win two medals, with Burroughs’ gold along with a silver medal by Kyle Snyder at 97 kg/213 lbs.
The magazine also predicted a bronze medal in Greco-Roman by Andy Bisek at 75 kg/165 lbs.
The USA won four medals at the 2012 London Games, including golds by Burroughs and Jake Varner, and bronzes by Clarissa Chun and Coleman Scott.
Also included in the issue is a two-page photo spread of Jordan Burroughs in a wrestling stance, which is on pages 32-33.
