I learned my husband has cancer while training for the Olympics. Now his battle is my motivation
Olympic water polo player, Maddie Mussleman recently shared her story with Today, where she spoke about how her husband, Pat, and his inspiration to her and her team as they train for the Paris Olympics. “I see the admiration my teammates have for him, and they recognize the passion and excitement he brings to water polo. He gave an inspirational talk to our team, and I believe he has significantly influenced the way we’ve been playing, fighting, and competing so far in Paris,” says Maddie.
