American Sarah Schleper is on course for a return to the World Cup this season.
The 29-year-old won a World Cup slalom in 2005 but missed the 2006/07 season due to injury and then skipped last season as she became a mother.
But US coach Jim Tracy believes Schleper can return to top form this year.
He told the Denver Post: “She’s still got some work to do but I was seeing multiple turns in a row that looked exactly like they did when she was at her best a few years back. It’s really encouraging to see that.”
The World Cup season opens on October 25 with a giant slalom in Soelden, Austria.
