SBCWomen.com named Jamie Anderson “June Rider of the Month”
JUNE RIDER OF THE MONTH: JAMIE ANDERSON
Author: Sara Tollestrup Jun 1, 2009 |
Jamie Anderson needs no introduction, we’ve all seen her slopestyle contest dominance over the years including winning gold for Slopestyle in 2007 at the age of 16 becoming both the youngest Slopestyle gold medalist and youngest female gold medalist in Winter X-Games history. You’ve seen her photos in major advertisement from longtime sponsor Billabong, various interviews and editorial in international snowboard mags as well as winning both Transworld and Snowboarder’s Female Rider of the Year in 2009. What might not know is that Jamie is as down to earth as your BFF. Jamie comes from a super tight knit family and has more sisters then I can count and her Mom has always supported her in her career. Jamie is also down for her friends, whether it’s lapping through the park pushing each other’s riding, support at contests or out at the party Jamie is one of the girls! With all her success and accolades family and friends are still top priority in Jamie’s life. – Roberta Rodger
