Yoga For Foodies: Downward Dogs meet farm-fresh flavors at Phoenix’s At One Yoga
Food-forward events are a great way to savor stunning ingredients and mingle with fellow farm-fresh fanatics. That said, most are not so good for your waistline. Enter Yoga For Foodies, a one-night-only event held this Friday at Phoenix’s At One Yoga.
Co-hosted by At One’s David Romanelli and Patty Emmert, Director of Phoenix’s Slow Food chapter and chef at the Downtown Phoenix Public Market, this event combines soothing yoga, and delicious, fresh food straight from our local farms. Even better, this $40 event supports the Phoenix Public Market’s efforts to help low-income families buy fresh locally-grown fruits and vegetables, as well as bring healthy, nutritious and delicious food to local school cafeterias.
David Romanelli’s unique blend of yoga, humor and Bob Marley music has been featured in publications such as O Magazine and The New York Times. Meanwhile, his book, “Yeah Dave’s Guide to Livin’ the Moment: Getting to Ecstasy through Wine, Chocolate, and Your Ipod Playlist” was an Amazon.com #1 bestseller. Director of Phoenix’s Slow Food chapter, Patty Emmert’s School Garden Tour encourages children at Phoenix Public schools to eat fresh, whole foods.
