The Italian Catholic Federation Branch 195, at St. Victor Church, 553 Hirsch Ave., Calumet City, will have its “Tavola” dinner, aka St. Joseph’s Table, from noon to 4 p.m. March 14 in the church hall. Cost is $12 for the all-you-can-eat dinner. The menu features mostaccioli and meatballs, Italian sausage, salad, bread, dessert and beverages. A glass of wine is included. Beer and food specials will be in the spotlight during March Madness games March 18 through 21 at O’Donovan’s Pub and Restaurant, 2100 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago. YOGA FOR FOODIES
Stretch your healthful eating options by checking out the culinary-themed tour “Jam Sessions: Yoga for Foodies.” The event is presented by David Romanelli, aka Yeah Dave, who is the co-founder of the chain of At One Yoga studios. During the event, Romanelli collaborates with various chefs across the country to create a dining and yoga experience.
In Chicago, “Yoga for Foodies” will take place at 6 p.m. March 8 and 9 at Province, 161 N. Jefferson St., Chicago. Chef Randy Zweiban will team up with Romanelli for the program. GARDEN GOURMET
The aromas at the Chicago Flower & Garden Show will be coming from more than the lush flowers and plants on display. The show’s “Garden Gourmet” stage stars a variety of Chicagoland chefs who’ll demonstrate signature dishes. Free cooking demos will take place at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. plus 6:30 p.m., except for Sundays. The show runs today through March 14.
